Sell/Buy Favors with Game-cash
DemOlitionConsidering that nowadays game cash is only good for items (or that shitty 2-5m gamecash Defense book/DVD player/Wooden chair) through the open market, it would be interesting and usefull for many to have a gamecash-favors section.
- Favors should be treated as items, i.e: Listing 15 favors for 450 000 each costs x% gamecash - (8% for respected was it?)
- All prisons should see the same Favor-Cash market (excluding NJ) - just like amenities.
- Players dont necessarily have to sacrifrice a bunch of items like EDs/SWs through the market just to powertrain (or anything else that gamecash is needed for..) for 30 minutes.
- Lowerlevels (from 10 and down, especially level 1-5's) will be able to grow alot faster and do more shit, considering theyve got several favor voting links, thats 4-5 favors per day that they can sell for some good cash to spend on pretty much whatever they want, preferrably items. A few
2b) - will encourage noobs to vote/do surveys more often, im sure they find cash more attracting than favors, - that 'thing' that they need dozens/hundreds of to buy any decent amenity.
- Mufasa forced to throw up a few lines of coding.

Yeah imma playa like dat fa sho..
Didnt even search before posting, so if suggested before throw me into iso for a month.. then COME MEET ME AT THE LONDON BRIDGE.

great idea. im not to fond of spending $15 for 100 favs everytime i need some an this would even out the field for people who cant buy favs or the younger players who dont have paypal or whatever. i know you can get alot of favs from voting and the paperwork but i think this is still useful.
I remember people suggesting to buy favs from a shop in the game with cash but not from other players and it was shot down rather fast.

+1
DemOlitionI remember that too, but this concept is different.. gamecash wont just "disappear" into Mr.Prison-Warden's pocket, they will be circulating (No risk of inflation..). Most likely going from rich highlevels to lowlevels who many wouldnt even bother helping..

JoeInBe...I love the concept, and as a player of the game who pays real cash to play, I can still see the positive side of this. Game cash is almost obsolete in this game...
However, being quite business-minded, here's why it's more than likely going to get denied:
- Idle Media, a company who's income relies on people buying Respected, as well as favors, will see a huge decline in Favors sales. Favors for real cash are the reason why this game has lasted as long as it has, and has remained free to play.
- Now, let's say that this feature is implemented... It will cause a huge separation of advantages to Respected Members over regular members, and in order to get respected status, I can't see the staff allowing favor purchases for it anymore.
- The value of Favors will drop dramatically. The cost for favors for in-game purchases will become obsolete.
- There is a huge disadvantage to lower level players. Players in SD can easily crime an hour or two in order to buy their favors, but for players in NJ, SQ and PT, money isn't as easily accessible. This would offset the balance of the game, as the rich will get richer, and the poor will stay poor. All the higher level players will have unlimited amounts of amenities, while the lower level players that actually know how to play will struggle to now save 250 favors in order to buy an Xbox with the new inflated prices.
- This will in turn lead to a higher rate of new players that quit, which means that this game will just remain for higher level players who no longer spend real cash. HUGE loss for Idle Media
Although I'm all for this feature, it's highly unlikely that it's going to get implemented, as it would drastically affect not just gameplay, but income for the company that allows us to play this game for free.

DemOlitionYou mightve raised a good point or two sir, but youve missed a few things, also im not sure why youre even bringing up a few things.
#2) Why would it? I didnt mention that this was for respected only
#3) I beg to differ; the favors dropped in value the day that favors jumped into the open market; between the players alone, favors are now worth 2/3 of what they used to be. Implementing this would not cause the favors to change their value once again, as the AMOUNT of favors in-game is still the same as before, the only change will be the way we deal with them - once again, this would just be another way to deal with favors.
#4) I agree with that favors will be easier for highlevels to buy, but how would this in any way "make the richer richer and poor will stay poor?" -arent they getting hundreds/millions of cash for something that they get 4-5 each day of, for free? Not to mention that they might end up mis-using their favors by buying 5 favor wooden chairs or a 30 fav bible, worst thing they can do with the cash is stock up on large chocolates or for NJers buy some good basic amenities.
My point is, youre bringing things up, like inflation and unbalancing.. inflation happens when theres a sudden increase of something, I dont see a way for favors just to appear out of the blue.. and unbalancing (favs/gamecash) is not possible, as theyre unbalanced as it is. "Worst" case scenario noobs got more cash to deal (grow?) with.
#5 is just silly, it falls under the same things ive just explained. Favors are limited, no new favs will appear INTO the game by this change alone. Favors = high demand, they disappear by expanding cells/firesales/bootleg joe etc.. and at the same time they will always keep the in-game fav. amount under control..
Bottomline is, everything "bad" that did/could have happend, already did. (When favors jumped into the market)

JoeInBe...sorry, lemme clarify point 2. In order to make Respected status more appealing, in order to make up for the lost revenue from favor purchases, that's the only way I can see them compensating... with more advantages of being respected.
You bring up very good points about inflation and how it won't screw things up... I dunno, we'll see. Personally, I love this idea, and it would bring back some kind of value to game cash again. Not to mention the noobs selling favors for $20k each cuz they think it's a lot down in NJ lol

DemOlitionHaha thats my only concern to be honest.. would hate to see lowlevels loose out so bad

no. those couple of lines are just TOO hard.
