Newton and Bobby Seale on October 15, 1966 in Oakland, California. The Black Panthers subsequently exploded on the scene as the most well known and notorious Black militant organization in U.S. History. The New York 21 was the epic case where the City of New York attempted to frame 21 New York Black Panthers on conspiracy charges and conspired to break their organizational back with FBI and Police dirty tricks and costly trial defense efforts. The Black Liberation Army was the 1970s reemergence of the Underground Railroad, where Panthers who had been forced underground by the repression of the FBI CounterIntelligence operations organized to continue their contributions to struggle but from underground. All of the Panthers currently in the Prison system allegedly served in the Black Liberation Army.
