Hi there,

i brought 1000 into blackjack lockdown and cash out 4000, so my winnings is 3000 right. If i am not wrong i should be able to keep 50% of that which is 1500, however i ended up only winning 1000. Which mean i only took 30% of my winnings instead of 50%. Can someone please look into this please, encountered twice already, thanks.

what i am saying is, i brought 1k in, won 3k, shouldn't i be taking 2.5k away since the 1k i brought in is not considered my winnings. Even at the end of the game it says winnings in 3k, tax 50% of that i should be walking away with 2.5k

In general gambling terms, your winnings are calculated and then your stake is added back on.

However foodemperor, what you're asking to be changed is very hard to implement, let's say you lose that 1k stake, do you get that back when you cash out because it's not considered in your winnings?

In blackjack, and I think most casino games, your stake is included as part of your winnings - especially in a casino as it's probably very hard to work out how much stake someone has put down when cashing in their chips.

So what that means is actually very simple right, you immediately lose half of the money you bring once you started the game.

In most casino, your stake is what you brought out to buy the chips. and your winnings is what you have won on top of your stakes. What you have paid to bought the chips is your stake. What you brought out extra is your winnings. If you lose your stakes than obviously you shouldn't get anything back at all.

Moreover, at the end of the game it is said. Cash out - 4000, Your stake - 1000, your winnings 3000, so i guess i am not wrong to assume i should get 1500 out of the winnings right.
