Continuing the discussion with Compton in the thread about trading, let's discuss ways to balance out the risk vs rewards with cell raiding. Compton suggested an all day isolation for failing to break in. I think that's a bit much, but I do think things could be better.

Aside from raising the isolation time, I think that perhaps the more a person has had raid attempts in the past, say, hour, the LONGER you'll be in isolation for an attempted raid. This would help thwart raid parties and would also lengthen the time it would take to actually crack into a cell, giving the victim ample time to respond.

Other things could be added in too, like a random chance a security mechanism would engage and change the combo -- but I think something like that would then make it TOO hard and not worthwhile.

ok... so the isolation time as already been increased, interesting lol

Compton said something about adding a letter to our vault, I think that should be reserved for the gang vaults. Once gangs are implemented I think individualism should be discourage. It's obviously going to be piece of cake to raid individual cells once the gangs are here, and it's totally logical, that's why people should then put their money in safe keeping into the gang vault where instead of numbers could be a mix of both letters and numbers.

Right now, just by increasing the isolation time like you just did, I think raiding is "balanced". People who don't play much usually don't have big bank rolls therefore aren't worth it, while people who play more often, who are online everyday and who are worth raiding are proportionnally harder to raid since they connect more often.

I think that a security mechanism could be a good idea of an upgrade for the gang vault, either have it unlocked after the gang reaches a certain lvl or be an item that breaks after it's used.

Also... I'm currently in isolation for 45 mins. With that much time in isolation, I wouldn't raid anyone who has less then 1m in their bank. It's just not worth the ticks. I'm missing 9x38 stats just from one attempt, totally not worth it for a 50k prize. I mean think about it. I'm totally hardcore with this game and now I can't do nothing execpt chat for 45mins and that's from  ust one attempt. That's harsh compared to what it used to be.

I'm already at risk of having a perma wedgy just by trying to raid someone who is stronger than me. A substitute for an increase in isolation could be an increase in time between each raid attempt.

I didn't mean all day for isolation, just more than 15 minutes for failing to break the lock.  I thought the times were too low.  My only point was that multiple people all raiding using the 11111,22222, 33333 system can try 3 times every 30 min and would break the code within 1.5 hours.  People who are offline have no time to respond.  I think trying to raid someone's cell should be an all day event (making it harder than 1.5 hours).  Sorry for any misunderstanding.  The only point was the difficulty level has to increase.

if u play this game with gang, you can ride cell in 30 min , only in gang need be 10 members, so everyone put one same numbers combination, and then they need to just compare numbers

I also today raided by my self my first cell and i got 40k $ and 5k exp muhahah

i've breaked in 3 times and the first time i earned $2800, 7600 and 5700 in cash and earned 500,900and 1300 exp respectively.one thing i noticed that the nearest leveler u raid u get more exp.but it took be about a minimum of 6 attempts to get in,that means 60 nerves.so i earned 16100 by using my 180 nerves.

now i calculated this with my crimes, that's the better and easier way of earning both money and exp with much of a risk.

if we have a good amount of speed say 600+,we can attempt again and again the 3 nerve candid-cam crime and each can earn u around 300 $s.i think that's the only best crime to hang up with without much of a problem and that's even b etter that raiding the cell bcoz, raiding puts us in isolation, that time we will not gain NRG + NRVs.
