Hello. I have only been playing for a few hours, and I must say I am loving the game so far, I have read through the suggestions put forth that have been accepted/rejected etc and noticed that this one has not been asked.

The ability to craft your own weapon/shank, in order to do this you would need to add a couple of things obviously, such as razor blades, chewing gum, glue, and various other stuff and also there is a chance that you could fail at crafting the item you were trying to create and therefore suffer the consequence i.e getting a severe cut and going into the infirmary for a few minutes, there could be numerous incidents that could happen. And of course if you are successful you would gain some EXP and of course a weapon for you to use or to sell. I'm aware that this could endure alot of work for the developers if it is taken into consideration and actually introduced to the game, but I think this would be a good addition to the game and make it that bit more fun.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hello Flam!

as a matter of fact, I belive this idea has been approached before... it consisted of workshops and classes to make your own items... and i believe it would be too complex to concretize right now....

Seems like crafting something as simple as a shank (not an expert, infact have never made one, but seen it in movies of course :P) was classed as needing high tech equipment :o

a shank is the first weapon you can buy..... at level one it makes you feel like you can step out of your cell.... the time to spend looking for, or buying  equipment would amount to about the same as if you were earning money searchin the yard etc until you can afford one....

thinks I~

EDIT: grab a cafeteria spoon, and sharpen it up on the concrete ground outside and you do have some kind of shank...

Searching for the items would benefit in saving up cash to buy items to top up your NRG/NRV/STM to try something else. In my opinion you'd be focused on finding an item by searching the yard to even be concerned about how much cash you have when you could actually find something to make it into something. And can you do that with a spoon? If not, that would be an excellent idea to be able to steal cuttelry and being able to use them as a weapon/use the to craft a weapon. There is endless amounts of ideas that could be added to make something!

EDIT: I'm assuming this idea doesn't appeal to you, but it would be nice to get someone else's thoughts on the matter, didn't mean to sound rude by the way.

we're still patiently waiting on the gang features to come out.... Mufasa and Tommy must be hard at work and it must give them headaches figuring THAT out (either that or they are just too lazy jk luvs)

maybe when that has been sorted out item creation features would be the next thing for them to work on... just maybe...

IMO there are sooo many other suggestions and ideas that can/need to be implemented that this one would be sort of a waste. The weapons that are currently available, plus the ones to come would make creating your own redundant and pointless.

There could be a couple of benefits to making your own weapon though as I said in my topic.
