Now this is a fucked situation. No doubt about it. However, if you want to get back at this kid then do it to him and him alone. No back alley shit, no weapons, be a man and confront him. Ask him what the fuck his problem is and whatnot, but do it to his face and more importantly, don't bring a weapon to this shit. Do it at school so others can see that everything was "hopefully" a fair fight.

That's the fuckin problem now days. I remember fighting where you win some you lose some, but for fuck sake at least you got to go home afterward. None of this "I'm afraid to get my ass whooped so I am going to cap the guy" shit. I worked in a prison and have heard too many sob fucking stories about this exact same shit. You know what those guys do all day? They kick rocks and walk in a circle. All because they had to "be the bigger man in their eyes and pull/use a gun/weapon". You know how many that I have talked to that say "Man, I wish I would have just let it go" or "If I didn't have the weapon not only would the guy be alive, but I could have been with my family right now" it's the majority. Instead they are doing life and most life without.

Best advice I can give you. T H I N K about what the consequences of YOUR actions will be. A normal fight without substantial bodily harm IE no brain damage and shit, just a normal fight, your looking at a misdemeanor (depending on previous records). A fight with a weapon without substantial bodily harm is called attempted murder in a lot of cases.
