To address your grievances I shall adopt a style similar to yours:

1. You may not make a list without a proper introduction.

2. You used "your" instead of "you're" in your first post, so your argument is invalid.

3. The second point you made was a question, however you used no question mark.

4. Making a list with both statements and questions tends to turn out rather disappointingly, as yours did.

5. Your original intention is irrelevant, the rules of grammar dictate that you must use commas in such cases. Also, commas do not only indicate pauses, they indicate direction of material. If I were to say, and don't take this the wrong way, that your mother is a whore, I would be grammatically correct. The last sentence was also grammatically correct, though I may not intend to include a pause in speech were I to state it aloud.

If the former is true I cannot find where you added on to.

If the latter is true, I made my proper introduction. I preceded my list with a colon, and a simple statement to convey the intention of the list.
