No offense, but that's like saying no one should joke about anything that might pertain to a traumatic experience in another person's life. No crossing the road jokes around people who've had dogs hit by cars, no bar jokes for recovering alcoholics, and no sex jokes for people who had botched circumcisions.

No one has any way of knowing what you've been through, and when you're offended it's a bit harsh to put a blanket on joke categories retroactively.
