It says I have IE when I am using firefox.
I am at my best friends house and he has firefox on his computer. When I loged in I see at the top the message sayin "we've detected that you're using Internet Explorer 6... " . I will give you the image. (stats are covered)

goto about:config at firefox, check what is written at
general.useragent.extra.firefox
it should be Firefox/3.5.5
yup that's what it says
this string tell the web app, about browser information, but looks like your browser is tell correctly then there must be some web application problem or you have installed some addon which is changing browser header,
correct. Your friend wouldn't happen to have IETab would he? Or any other plugins that may change the user agent
No but he has IE. It is in a seperate folder.
well, I'll be honest, this isn't something that I plan to really worry about. It's likely something on your friends end, and not only would that be a pain in the butt to try to figure out, but since it's not causing any harm, it would be a waste of energy even if we did.
Is it possible to make that box close for good because it does get a tad anoying. If it is to complicated nvm
Given everything that's been covered so far on this topic, it'd be more work to get that error sorted out than you simply ignoring the header.
Like I said if it is to hard to make it get off automatically Nevermind.
