Mu did say they make everything with the intention of it being used. They found a way to use those modern sofas so Im sure they will find a use for these parts.

He also said they would have no use after the event and would be deleted from everyone's inventories.

Though I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be deleted from the game.
