When you mug someone, it does say on their profile how much cash they're currently holding, although that doesn't update immediately from what i've found.

cash in the profile is total. You have no way of knowing what's on hand or in the bank without spying.

Im prity new to this game and would like to know why when i wos lv1 a lv2 player could mug me.Now im lv 2 and went to mug a lv 1 player and got a messadge back saying leave the nood alone.Why is this???And also the player has been playing 5 days longer than me

ThyWhis...lvl 1s are protected. Only a lvl 1 can attack or mug another lvl 1.
I might be wrong but lvl 1s can also attack and mug lvl 2s... at their own risks.
