How are you dividing the pool if no one picks champion? Furthest round reached?

I've never participated, so now I guess I understand that you're not betting on a single team. Are all picks equal, or are they weighted toward the end of the tourney?

I run the pool on yahoo, each correct pick in the bracket is assigned a point value. I cant remember the exact value but for example if you pick a game right in the first round you get 1 point per game picked correctly, second round might be 4 points, then it escalates. If you pick the champion thats obviously worth the most points. If you look it up on yahoo you can probably get the exact rules.
