Yes you are correct i didn't explain well, when using the Vista version of windows and running IE to correct the fault mentioned here you just need to click the compatibility icon (Icon looks like Torn sheet of paper and is at the end of address bar) i had similar problem a couple of months ago. As Mu and others have suggested Firefox and chrome are good alternatives to IE, I now use chrome for this site.
