no us military intervention? we left our trapped folks up to the algerian forces? I haven't followed the story too close, seemed like the media didn't want to touch it too much either. All I saw was Obama's press advisor waiting for more "clarity" on the situation.

hokiefanwe're still trying to "clarify" and at least 19 hostages are dead already, some reportedly from algerian military gun fire. we have the best military forces in the world, and I would hope that if any american life is in danger as a direct result of terrorist, that our country was taking the lead in handling the situation.
No i'm not saying to go start a war like Iraq man, we had American's trapped by known terrorists, and we stood by taking orders from another nation.

Vic,this is the Obama 2nd term thread,if you don't care for it,just move along..and famo,what more did we need to know about iraq??..sadam tortured his own people and poisened gassed the Kurds..he was an oppresive dictator..I'm 100% for us getting involved..as a veteran I backed bush's policy..as the worlds sole super power (at the time) we have a responsibility.
