just wondering why some items for sale in the open market looks like they were posted by bunch of five year old boys dreaming of big money?  For instance who would pay $500,000 for a 3 favor book?  They can't be serious!

People do that with regular items too!

Why would someone pay 50k for a slingshot if they can get it for 5k from the npc?

I don't agree with that. I don't use my shank or pillow anymore so I put it for less then npc price, if it was the same or more then there would be no reason for someone to buy it. Even if you put it as the same as npc price then you're still losing money because you have to pay 10% the price to list it.

i guess it depends on how patient you are also, if you need money fast you might sell a bit cheaper than normal so the deal looks attractive

If you spend all your time complaining on thread's about ppl selling overpriced item's an amen's, then you will never find the deals, you will learn the price's an know them off by heart, some things you think are overprice'd now will seem like a drop in the bucket later...
