Seeing as we are limited to earning just 0.5% interest on our money, could there be ways of earning more interest.

For example some kind of ISA system where we can lock a certain ammount of money away to earn a higher rate of interest, could be for example:

0-1K = 0.75%

1K-5K = 1%

5K-10K = 1.25%

ETC...the money would have to be locked into the ISA for a certain amount of days, but at the end we get the reward of gaining more interest. I dont know if it would work but I think it would make people save money quicker.

My other idea was to have somekind of stocks and shares system, although I have not really thought much about how to implement this idea.

I think that's a bit too complicated for something so simple. Each prison has different interest rates, so it's not like it's always .5% -- work hard at the game, and you'll receive the benefits.
