Question about Battle System

Is it randomized at all? I fought a guy who's a lvl higher than me, all my stats were atleast 100-200 higher than his, and I still lost, with full stamina...first time he attacked me we fought to a tie...next time he won. I was just curious about this

Are you sure you had full stamina? mebe his speed was higher than yours...or uh...usually stamina is the main factor.

Basically.
You may have better stats, but he has higher HP (Which is such a key factor that people miss)
If he has too much HP then your going to run out of stamina before you can send him to the infirmary
Hence the Tie.
