If you get the hearthfire DLC you can get children from the orphanage. that other women takes care of them

yeah they just send thugs to attack you and the occasional assassin as far as I know.or maybe that was the barkeeper in riverwood

I did it on one of my sub accounts. I still cant figure out the benefits to it.

my first time playing I shot a chicken and got a 40 gold bounty,then stole a weapon and got a 2 gold bounty.the poultry they raise must be awesome.

I still fus ro dah markarth guards off the top of the cliffs so they fall and die, and get no bounty for it. its more fun than it sounds

apparently commander maro gives you 3k gold for doing it
