I grabbed my XBOX S (*actually two of them) during the thanksgiving event back in NJ a few months ago; according to my cell page its not protected.

I have never borrowed/sold/rebought it from the open market or anything like that at all, yet its unprotected.. I tried putting a condom over it but it didnt help.

I was also wondering the same about my ps3reg/xbox elite/clean toilet I got from mystery boxes on April fools 2010. They came from mystery boxes, bought with favors, straight from the warden.

might need some tweaking, but i'd guess the same logic. you bought the mystery box for favors, not the amenities it contained

If it's not PURCHASED for favors it's not protected. List it for sale, and it's not protected (regardless of if it sells or not). Not a bug.
