It has nothing to do with Flash. The yard images are very large, and the iPad only supports up to (I think) 1024px images. So it scales down the image to the allowable size. This leaves you with lots of empty room (black).

We've talked about it in the office, but currently, we have no plans to optimize for mobile.

thanks tommy knew it was to do with the layers

just maybe another alternative......dont know how hard or simple it would be.... for instance things like the fountain,bootleg joe and any event characters can be seen on the 'black' sections. would there not be a way to outline the basics of the map for instace walls and doors etc

We've talked about it in the office in the past. We know of some solutions that might fix the issue, but they involve a lot of work. So we threw it in the "optimize for mobile" pile, and, again, we don't have plans to optimize for mobile just yet.
