criming went from laggy to 1 click at a time which takes forever to get anything  :(

Correct. After getting back and analyzing the logs, the crimes page was one of the worst offenders in server load. Clicking a button as fast as you can sounds like a good idea in theory, until you get a whole crapload of people doing it at the same time. That simple change alone has resulted in much better site performance across the board:

(around 60% through the graph is where the change was made). Server load dropped 33%

criming was half my pb life right there....bring back the old school mu. sad day

OK, I tried explaining it, so I'll just make it simple: no. The system was being abused the way it was, it was corrected. Move on.
