hello mr. warden i just tried to mug a pink clown and was part successful only getting 320$ but i noticed i got beat by a green clown who popped up right next to me when mugging the pink clown and i only hit the mug button once but got beat up by 1 and robbed the other. is this normal or was this an unfortuanate accident for myself?

Without knowing more, it does sound like you may have double clicked and hit mug twice

Or just you pissed off that clown buy mugging his friend... clowns are spiteful people. Wouldn't you be if you had trouble buying shoes and always have a red nose?
