don't start mugging. a) at level 1, you'll get your ass beat. b) a rep for that shit when you first start will follow you as you progress through the game.

search the yard every hour, if you find any chocolates or sm water (can't really remember what items you find in nj), sell them on the market just below the price you can buy them for in stores. set up your watch list for sm water and sm chocolate. buy as many as you can of each when they're more than 10% below store prices, then list them on the open market just below store value.
