i like the point system idea.. maybe pick winners or draws for whole competition could be an option.. not sure how many ppl would be able to get the score spot on.. group outcome predictions are also an option, either just picking who will advance or how the whole group will finish..

then somehow pull the teams out of a hat so it would be random to which team you get. we would need one of you higher up players to be the "banker" as it were, and hold the winnings (winner takes all of course) and a player (trusted lol) to do the draw and film it?

the points thing is much easier to sort out. again we would need a banker. but i'll do an example

say that was my bet, and poland v greece finished 1-1 that would be a point

and russia beat czech republic 3-1 that would be 3 points

and just do that all the way until we get back round to group a again, then another round of betting?
