no item after beating lion

ok not sure if this bug or not, but ive done the lion part of quest and ive attacked lions since then and beaten them, but nothing was dropped to pick up... iam only attacking them to help crew members get the lion items..
sorry if its how it is set up and for wasting forums space if this is so

You cant get lions after completing quest atm... also experienced this problem.
