Sooooooo I understand the need for duplicate accounts, but I didn't think I would run into this scenario,

I am selling coal on the market, and get a message from another player whom I've never spoken to.  He said, "who are you, and why do we have duplicate accounts." 

So I play from my blackberry curve while at work and so does this guy; therefore, our accounts are duplicated.  That totally sucks. Now I can't sell items or amentites to people who play from their Curves?  ugh

No Duplicate Accounts

Each inmate is only allowed one account. Additionally, only one account is allowed per IP address. If you are caught using multiple accounts, you will be permanently isolated.

We DO allow for multiple DIFFERENT people to play the game from a single IP or computer, but it MUST be a different person, and as a precaution, you will NOT be able to attack, raid, mug, buy from, sell to or send cash to any user that uses the same computer or shares the same IP.

Do NOT ask to have this lifted! We have NO WAY of knowing if the people using the accounts are truly unique so instead of outright banning the accounts we have compromised and implemented this system. Again. NO. WE. WILL. NOT. REMOVE. THIS. If you'd like, we can just ban you instead.

We will ban the IP addresses of those using proxies, servers, telnets etc to log into the site. Using these services to evade a dupe or ban is strictly forbidden.

What im saying is,wat is the problem u've having dupes with that man.? there are still a huge numbers of players to interact with...that's what wiki states.you'll not be ban instantly,if you are dupes with another person.marking dupes is just a precautionary method,just undergo it.

What's to stop one person from creating multiple accounts and logging in from their phone so that it doesn't match their main IP? In fact, someone was banned just recently for being caught doing the same thing.

And yeah,i got some new babies doin the exact same thing again.... but i can only report if im not blocked.

I agree with Jagan though, there's 100's more who you can interact with, why does this one person you've never met matter so much?

Although I do see a trend in this happening, so there might be an issue with the multi-ip thing, but there's also no real need to fix it...

Well, I first learned about duplicate accounts when I connected my laptop to my friends wireless connection, and it sucked afterwards when we couldn't play together and work as a team because we can't send items to each other ,etc.

So  already being "annoying," this duplicate account stuff becomes "so annoying" because someone I've never talked to before has a duplicate account than me?  How many people play from their phones? I don't know..  but I forsee this issue as having potential to limit my sales on the open market.  In turn, causing me to "bribe the warden" or even play less.
