Just won 3,000 on Blackjack and my bank account is 00000000

I am of the opinion that the blackjack game isn't a good bet. This is what happened tonight, check it out:

I have $2300 in my pocket. I buy in for $1000.

I now have $1000 on the table and $1300 in my pocket, right?

I play and it tells me I leave the table with $3000. It also says that

my winnings equal $2000. That makes sense, I started with $1000, won

$2000 and walked with $3000.

So when I cash out, the game says I'm supposed to get 50% of the

winnings. To me, that means I get back my $1000 buy in and I also get

50% of what I won. Well, if I won $2000, then 50% of that is $1000. So

I should have the $1300 I had in my pocket, plus the $1000 buy in, plus

$1000 which is 50% of the winnings, for a total of $3300.

But no, when I cash out and look at my account, I only have $2800. I started with $2300, so what the hell????

The only way I figure the math is this way:

I have $2300 in my pocket. I buy in for $1000.

I now have $1000 on the table and $1300 in my pocket, right?

I play and it tells me I leave the table with $3000. It also says that

my winnings equal $2000.

But I think what the game does is it says I get 50% of what I walked

away with, which would equal $1500 and not 50% of my winnings.

So I risk $1000, run it up to $3000, but somehow only win $500? Am I

missing something? Anyone? Either the game isn't calculating properly or the

rules are worded incorrectly. Either way, I don't think it's worth it,

so I'm staying away from the game from now on.
