I read your post and your ideas.

Ive also been playing and exploring for a bit in game and happen to disagree with your idea. 

You are intitled to your ideas just as Im intitled to not like the idea

 

for one thing, there are TONS of ways to get EXP in the game.. in fact alot of us wish there were fewer so we wouldnt level as fast

 

and to implement your idea, you would actually have to include another mechanic into the game which is SKILL. Not everyone in a prison would know what to do with or have the ability to create items from what they found, thus wasting the time they spent looking for money and items so that they can train.

 

I have other pluses and minuses but Ill stop there so I dont come off as rude.

I in no way said you weren't entitled to expressing your thoughts about my thread, and yes there would be another 'mechanic' needed to be added and yes it would indeed be skill, but as I said there would be chances of failure and therefore consequences, and again searching for the items does mean you have to spend some time looking in the yard for items, but you do get cash from searching in the yard as well as other items therefore it would not be a total waste of time. And one thing does come in mind when it comes to trying to make/do something and you fail at it... "If at first you don't succeed, try, try and try again". But you have made your point clear you aren't interested in it because you would 'level to quickly' even though the game is about having fun and not reaching an insanely high level.

To be honest, I think the amount of time necessary to impliment this would not be worth the gain. Cost-benefit analysis just doesnt work, IMO. You cant just think about it in a simple manner because adding this would change a lot about the game. Mostly what I am thinking is a total revamp of the market, as well as the addition of profession levels similar to current MMO's. Also, there really isnt an emphasis on items in this game, since earning money is easy. This would complicate things.

Not to mention that every item needs to be thought out in advance so it can be given a picture and verified that it isnt a n00bcannon deathray.
