@hanako nah it was 12hrs up the coast from me where it hit as a cyclone, but it turn in to a low system(think its called) and swung down this way and brought rain and some strong wind. They closed schools yesterday and today cause of flash flooding in Brisbane and surround areas. Its caused flooding down the Gold coast and in to the northern parts of nsw today. so it sort effected bout half of Queensland coast .

Yeah i heard it was pretty massive. My oldest step brother lives in McKay and has no power and stuff. Crazy times. Pleased you are alright

yeah it was close to Mackay that it crossed on to land . yeah quite a bit of that area of the state(from like bowen through to mackay i think) was effected with loss of power and that . hope your brother is safe. they was worried about the flooding in mackay due to storm surge and rainfall. but wasnt as bad i think well thats what the news is say lol

Yeah he has contacted my dad so we know he is alright but not sure the house

was he in low lying area of mackay. they should have power and that back hopefully in day or bit as army and all the government workers were all ready to move in as soon as it was safe to do so to get stuff working again . but it if the water is still over highway that will hinder them

if u want go on face book and look up 7 News Mackay as that the local news pages or just look up 7news Queensland it give bit of idea whats going on in his city..

yeah as it has affected so much of the state with flooding the news is trying to cover it all too. also try yahoo news. think this is link and it will be news for whole state but i think might be able to get info on mackay but. as u know im not good with computer stuff

@hanako on the news they said whats left of cyclone debbie hitting the north island of NZ. hope it aint as bad as it was over here
