I like the badge thing, but this is the part which would stop me doing it (and im sure others). Can't be dealing with getting stuck with some muppet that can't be bothered to learn anything for himself and just wants free stuff.

There seems to be a decent amount of help in the inmate orientation section, with questions and answers for the newer players that are willing to make threads. I've seen some forums that have a sort of karma system. The way i suppose it could work is newer players (certain level age or whatever) would be alotted a certain amount of points (total or per day, week) to distribute to the more experienced players, who they have felt have answered their questions most thoroughly in a given forum topic. The points could then be used as favors or saved up and cashed in for things etc.

Well I hope something gets worked out about this. I know its been said before that people in each prison have the exact same amount of chance to get things. It seems to me like the newer players and even some that sign up on the day of events either stand a better chance to get the new things or they are dupes and know right where to go. If this is the case it would be better to give people not in New Jersey a slightly better chance at getting new things so that they would be more willing to take someone under their wing. On the downside to that would be that people would take advantage of that in order to grow their bottom line on here. Either way I think yall should try to brainstorm something to keep new players interested because this game is hard at the beginning.

That probably made no sense. Ill not post anymore.

Hmmm this has got me thinking about who the best mentors were for me when i started...

i just wanna throw it out that that 911 was the best mentor and we started at the same time... there were very few higher levels that helped me... except for Rach420 who gave me a few amens when she was leaving... oh and Mr Yakuza... who told me how to sell my items safely... the rest of the time they just wanted my blunts cheap and beat the crap out of me when i came to Az to sell them (looks around for biglou)... Mizpeg was good to me with selling me amens... and taught me how people try to cheat in the game and how to watch out for them... no one who was a higher level gave me money to train and no one who was higher level gave me any knowledge about how to get good stats... 911 did all of that... you are the best mentor a girl could have Jaymeal and Bx taught me how to do computer crap... and put up with my noobness around that stuff... and now hennypenny is training me in the ways of evilness... i may have missed some but these are the people that stuck in my mind.

I guess the point i am trying to make is... that an official mentor could provide guidance in key areas... and be there to answer questions... the other stuff...like amens and stuffs... really is as Sp3k said... stuff you do to help people cause you want a runner or a good friend... and is kind of in the domain of gangs.... to make your gang strong you do that...

in all honesty if it hadn't have been for 911 and a couple of others i doubt i would have clicked to things inthis game... i had no amens till i reached putnam... didn't even know what cells were for... felt completely lost and just clicked buttons lol... if there had been someone that could have helped that would have been awesome...

One last comment... there are some sick bastards in this game... there really is... and i think that mentors could provide some safety around that... the adult content on here is great.. it so ain't a game for kids... and i say that as i have a 12 year old... so i am allowed to call them kids but there is few parameters around this... some of that safety stuff could be supported by mentors providing some ideas around how to be safer on the game... if that makes any sense also that annoying crap on the forums from people might be supported a bit too... i mean i had never even encountered a forum before playing here...

Okay... once again @ 911
