FWIW there are two players in this game who I kind of mentored. The reason I did so is simple. They were the only noobs who ever mailed me asking me for tips on playing the game rather than the seemingly standard "can I have some money", I helped them with info, cash, consoles, amens, etc. I think many of us would be willing to help noobs who simply asked for info, rather than begging for cash.

The inmate orientation section of the forums is a great place to start, and I'm sure some of us could chime in on threads there where ppl are asking for help. It's been so long since I started playing, I don't rem if the new inmate gets a "welcome to PB email". If not, maybe that could help point them towards that section of the forums?

you shouldnt get rewarded for mentoring a noob. then people will try to do it for the reward(s) & recognition,

i was mentored when i 1st 1st started (B4 i kud do my 1st crime) then got more help from another higher lvl then we became good friends.

i mentored many players with everything you can think of. the people that mentored me & i mentored never bragged or asked for anything. we just simply did it out the kindness of our hearts.

that brings me back to an idea i had & i wanted to start up called the "W.A.N.T.S academy".

W.A.N.T.S = W.ant A.ll N.oobs T.o S.tay. basically just helping them to get started and once they reach a certain lvl or play for a certain amount of time they will then "graduate" and i reward them or something...... i never had all the detail. the idea was stil in its infant stages.

maybe after noobs reach a certain lvl or play for a certain amount of time they can the be rewarded (badge or favors etc).

there as been many people that left since i 1st started & not half the amount of committed/dedicated noobs has replaced them.

*just my 2 cents*
