I'm against the RTW in Michigan. Most the states that have adopted this aren't progressing. I think its more attractive for farming states. On average working families in rtw states make 5k less per year. Rtw states spend less on education and have more workplace fatalities because of unskilled workers. The rtw laws decrease living standards, less ppl have adequate health insurance. I dont believe it bring anymore jobs to a state either.

] You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those that can do nothing for him!

having worked at both union shops and non-union shops, I must say that unions mostly serve as a barrier to communication between employees and frontline. They fight to bring back the employees that the company terminates (for just cause in cases i've seen) who are not even good employees. They fight for stupid, STUPID things that make you just say "come on what the fuck does that make a difference". They'll sit there and say they are for helping all the employees, but when it gets down to it and if a decision will either help them or help someone else, they will quickly throw someone else under the bus to their own gain. They collectively bargain for the entire group of employees, which often means smaller groups of employees within the workgroup may not get the attention since they are 1 or 2 out of 100. Employees have no incentive to work hard or put in extra effort because wages are often tied to contractual agreements, not performance based.

Employees are told not to work as hard, new employees are told not to learn new positions. Employees that work hard and work cooperatively with management are given a hard time.

regarding safety, OSHA is there where one can make anonymous tips. If Unions are all about safety, then why have I see where employees have seen someone doing something unsafe, but they will never mention when, why, or who it was. everything is generalized "oh management doesn't care about this, management always does that".

If unions are so great, why are private sector unions decreasing in membership every year? answer: companies going out of business because they can't afford to stay in business, inflated pension programs that are not sustainable or in line with what most other companies are offering to stay competitive.

that's my 2 cents

Most definitely bro, its a whole lot of powerful truths in there that some people don't understand because they never listened to someone that isn't scared to call out people and put names on who is responsible!
