that reminds me of this inteview with muammar gaddaffi, before he got all gang raped.. they asked him about dictatorship and all that in libya i belieev, he pointed out that even in civilized countries with "democracy" like the US / Europe etc, youve always got some form of dictatorship - basically a leader that a great part of the population does not want...... thats like the 51% vs 49% thing

That is true, in a pure democracy the majority would impose their laws over the few unchecked, and minorities might not be granted rights. Our government is actually a republic, not a democracy. They are somewhat similar but have noticeable differences. In a republic individual rights are protected. (Bill of rights)

hokiefani was actually happy to see we had paper ballots at my voting place. i don't have a problem with the computers, but something is to be said about having something physical there that you fill out the circles with a marker.
hokiefanwhat they didn't show is if you were trying to vote for mitt, the box would have never checked at all since the screen went out of calibration.
