I think if Mu wanted to stop paypal then he would....He has not said anything in the news and annoucment section and until then I think taking action to end someone's gameplay is kind of harsh! Like Henny said it's a cycle and if that person is playing the game that much them they will need favs and other amens that will come out... I would be still stuck in putnam with shitty amens and if I couldn't buy them with real cash then there was no way I would have been able to out bid 2,3,4 and 5k ed's that some players bid on stuff?!?! I can never, ever, out bid some people when it comes to items for amens! A few people are taking advantage of paypal, but it should be a group effort to not shop with that person. But all in all hoarding started a paypal boom because the shit was in so high of demand and when the first paypal sale happened, a lightbulb went off in peoples heads and BAM! Instead of having 10k ed's and 20k sw I will sell it paypal (I'm only assuming here).

Originally posted by HennyPenny  First off I just wanted to say that I'm not trying to go after anyone who does this personally.  If you use paypal to buy/sell thats all fine and good with me.  What I dont agree with is people using the marketplace forum to advertise for their own personal gain for real cash outside of the game economy unless you are selling everything and leaving.

I understand why many are doing it, only because there are certain things

that they want that they can only get through paypal from someone else, who also needs real cash to buy something they want.  It's an endless cycle and none of this money ends up in the hands of the developers, or back into the game economy. If i just spent $100 on an wii you can be damn sure i wont be spending any money on respect or favors any time in the near future.

Keep your paypal adds off this forum,  use your profile and private messages to advertise your own business.  (unless you are quitting the game and selling all your stuff)   Failure to do so could result in sniping, attacks, spying, muggings, and/or but not limited to turbo cell raids.

I never said me or anyone else would end anyones game play. And i never said I dislike people who use paypal. My point is that I can see the paypal thing getting way out of control down the road. If some people wanted to they could crime all day long and make about $8/hr or more worth of items that they could sell for paypal, then go to the marketplace post an ad and get 100s or 1000s of people to read the ad. People using the game to pay bar tabs, bills, part time job. Game cash/items become worth less and less. It is a bit of an extreme example I know but how far do you think it would go if it was allowed to be unchecked?

I totally agree, but how do we know who is telling the truth or who is lying?!?! My thoughts were if people began sniping amens at there own discretion, it will lead to a bigger problem! Us players are not equipped with the capabilities to monitor that type of ativity w/o prejudice. There will be mistakes and I think this is something that Mu should handle. Put it in the suggestion box and let him make a decision. Everyone is not taking advantage of this game but some are and for the most part we know who they are...I think you guys should make a list of the people thats abusing the system and deal with them that way (just a suggestion).
