On a thread I had read earlier (I'll try to find it and post a link), it was talking about how to get noobs more involved in the game, to try to keep them from just leaving. If we had simple missions, like:

"Jerome has been put in isolation, but is craving a fix. Bring him 2 cocaines and he'll pay you well"

Once you hit level 5, there could be runs for npcs, where you buy the items, then get paid, or whatever.

Yeah, except not just random npcs, maybe themed enemies, like zombies for Halloween and elves for christmas. I suppose what I'm really interested in is more like a gauntlet, where you face a bunch of challenges before time runs out. Maybe, if any new mini-games are developed, they can be included as challenges.

In short, you go until you're almost dead, then go some more. An extremely difficult set of challenges. Can't think of another example of this type of challenge atm, but I might in a few hours

EDIT: Unless if by "arena", you mean something like the colosseum, where there are a bunch of events
