Oh. I was gonna say pasta.

You want something ultra quick and cheap? This is my fav end of the month out of money food. Boil some pasta. Fry a lot of garlic in some olive oil (chuck a dash of port or red wine in when its hold and boil off). Don't over cook the garlic though or it goes bitter - 3-5 mins on medium heat. When the pasta is cooked chuck than in the pan and fry with the garlic for a min. Serve with black pepper and plenty of parmesan. Real nice. If you have truffle oil it works very well instead of plain olive oil.

new speakers... but when i plug in the headphones the volume is low? 5k eds to whoever can help me
(these headphones are plugged in to the speakers, there is a certain set volume for them no matter how much i turn the volume up and down its the same through the head phones)

Check in your task bar the volume is up!
Make sure it isnt the thing your playing that just has low volume!
Make sure it is plugged in properly sometime you need to have like a mm out!
Try different ones if they dont work maybe it is something else?

yep yep and yep, tried that too

Then kick it?
Sometime on my pc i plug it into a different slot and it goes low there should be 3 hole with icons above make sure your plugging it into the one with headphones icon.
Also plug the speakers into something else maybe you just bought crap speakers

So the volume control on the speakers doesn't effect the headphone volume? This is not uncommon in speaker design... effectively the headphones just bypass the speakers and replace them in the circuit so the only way to control volume is via the computer.
If they are particularly quiet (ie. quieter than would be if you plugged the headphones straight into the computer) then it is likely that the speakers are faulty. Could either be something such as a bad earth which is repairable or its just that the speakers are of poor design and the bypass circuit has an inherent impedance which reduces the headphone volume. Either way if its an issue I would take the speakers back as faulty or of poor design.
Hope this helps.

yeah no matter what I do i cant alter the volume just by messing around with the speakers even though theyre plugged into them; theres a volume control on the headphones too but its already turned up to max and its still a pretty lame max volume considering i could turn it up alot higher even with my old speakers... and all the volume settings from the control panel and system tray is on 100% too
and yeah i tried updating drivers and all that shit and i think im about done messing around with these for now ill just have to go and switch these out i guess tried everything..
thanks for the help though
