but i could see that cause ive read that the nicotine effects dopamine which idk

thought the releasing of dopamine was good lol

Nicotine activates the same reward pathways in the brain that other drugs of abuse such as cocaine or amphetamines do, although to a lesser degree. Research has shown that nicotine increases the level of dopamine in the brain, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for feelings of pleasure and well-being. The acute effects of nicotine wear off within minutes, so people must continue dosing themselves frequently throughout the day to maintain the pleasurable effects of nicotine and to prevent withdrawal symptoms.

Many healthcare professionals recommend supplementing with vitamins C, vitamin E, and other antioxidants. Foods such as sugar, saturated fats, cholesterol, and refined foods interfere with proper brain function and can cause low dopamine. Consumption of saturated fats and cholesterol should also be reduced because they can clog the arteries to the brain, heart, and other organs. Caffeine must also be avoided by persons with depression. Caffeine is a stimulant which

Originally posted by Mufasa I don't like getting into these tin-foil hate debates, but make cigs illegal and see how many people go up in arms.

Personally, I don't think the gov't has the right to tell you what to do with your own body as long as you aren't harming others. If people want to blacken their lungs, go for it, just as long as it doesn't affect me (and states have taken care of that with anti-smoking laws)

This, I mean look at how many people threw their arms up over not being able to talk or text on a cell phone and drive. Same goes with walking in certain areas, even though some bad apples tried to sue malls and shit because they were too stupid to walk and talk and ended up falling down.

I somewhat agree with you though Buba. I've been a smoker for 15 years now, but I also chew tobacco (18 years). Don't ask, I'll just say that I started in my firefighting days and haven't been able to quit since. Personally I don't mind the whole "you smoke a bunch of garbage or put it in your lip and you will get cancer". Hey, that's on me. What I don't like are the additives to make it worse than crack in regards to being addictive.

i dont have the patience to read thru this entire thread... i know my dad died from lung cancer 2 yrs ago - and he was healthy as can be beforehand (went to the gym, took all kinds of vitamins,ju-jitsu, u name it) 52 yrs old - dead. so i dont smoke... weed is about the extent of my smoking - and i never heard a case of weed killing anyone. legalize it - tax it - the united states could dig themselves out of debt with legalizing weed lol

Quit cigs 12 or 13yrs ago. PIcked a day, went cold turkey, the first couple days were really hard, 1st 2 weeks were difficult. after that it was pretty easy.

I agree with mu, if ppl wanna smoke, wgaf? Just legalize weed, cuz it's a hell of a lot easier to quit that than nicotine.
