xbox 360 wont play dvds

hey mu i know your a busy dude but for some reason i have to equip a dvd player to play any dvds in my cell. if i equip just an x box all the dvds go out of my cell. am i doing something wrong?

Older DVDs need PS3 Regular, or XBOX Elite, most people have PS3 Slim (works w/ some dvds like twilight), and xbox 360 which plays nothing

splice, and airbender say they will but still don`t. some of my other dvd`s say xbox 360 elite so i guess i have to go shopping! lol!
