The bank account opening for each prison is different, as you go thru the prisons it gets more expensive as you progress, If you go to one prison and return to the previous, you cell size will remain as it once was. If you want to see the Prison Ranges per level, go to the Prison Transport: http://www.prisonblock.com/transport.

Note: the earlier prisons up to Putnam have a 1 level cushion, meaning if you are level 4 you can still travel between NJ and SQ. but once you reach lvl 5 you can no longer return to NJ. But as a level 3 in NJ you can travel to SQ and take advantage of what they have there for the time being! I.E. getting the AMENs in the wardens office in SQ then returning to NJ to help you train better than everyone else.

No it's not by design, it's just never been important enough i guess to be published. If you really want to know i suggest you PMing someone whose in the prison your interested in.

This is pretty sweet. But part of the game is building enemies too. I cant stand the whole everyone is best friends in prison games.
