As long as your defense is substantially larger than their strength, their speed doesn't count for anything. It just wears down their stamina, allowing your strength to crush their defense, which, assuming they're a speed trainer in the first place, is very low.

and then they mug..lol

And then you attack them again.

Attacking has a 100% chance to infirm. Mugging doesn't. Cooldown times are the same. Keep money off-hand and it won't be a problem.

if you are talking stats in the 300mill then a + of 10% on thier strength and a - 10% on your defense is a big range of possiblility...

Yes, but stats are boosted by 100%-400% in cells. If someone's putting both strength and speed amens into their cell, it'll dilute the effectiveness.

Also, say you have 20mil defense, 9mil strength, and 1mil speed. If someone has 1mil defense, 16mil speed, and 13mil strength, making it even stats, and you have +100% def, that puts you at 40mil defense, and 100% on their strength is 26mil. Originally a 7mil difference, now a 14mil difference. Since percentages scale stats, the more you have in a single stat, the more effective it is. Being a main defense trainer allows you to put more into a single stat, rather than trying to balance strength and speed.

it seems to be off your total stats... not your base stats... believe me i have seen fights where it happens... you need 20% more defense than your opponents strength to gaurantee a win.

I understand that. And if you put most of your stats in defense, and they're forced to balance speed and strength, the difference is substantial. Especially after the bonuses from cells are factored in.

Ok, say you train the same amount as your enemy, which is a factor that needs to be accepted for this discussion to even be relevant. Give yourself 50mil base stats to spend. I'll spend my 50mil after you post yours. Now, remember, you're acting as a speed trainer. So distribute the stats like a speed trainer would.

EDIT: We'll also assume our cells give about 200% on stats. Even though I would be able to put all defense amens in my cell whereas you'd need to use those made for strength as well as speed.
