there is stil racial discrimination but i dont think its as bad as it used to be and not nearly as much as some people claim...the biggest discrimination now is of income

In this case it is blalantly the guy was punished for who he was and not for what he did. The system suppose to be lienient to people that show remoarse and take responsiblity for there action...bot the case. One aspect I have over looked was that LA is one of the worst states to ever commit a crime in if your black...Angola has so many prisoners that shouldn't be there, its a lot of horror stories out there on film and in books!

he must have had a shit lawyer...he pleaded guilty to the crime...there should have been some plea for him going to a substance abuse program to take time off and then complete a few years in prison but not 15 years when noone was hurt and he admitted to the crime...most of the time just admitting to the crime will get a few years off and not making it go to trail...a good lawyer would have gotten the best possible out come but since he stole $100 he most likely got a public defender who didnt give a shit what the outcome was...but we also dont know his past criminal record that might have had something to do with it also

That's right howie, past records do show some what of a pattern and they do use it when sentencing...its not fair in some cases and its justified in others. The 3 strike rule is dumb as fuck but how does someone walk around with 15 felonies though??? Go figure!

i gotta say i think you guys have a great president much better than bush. I really liked what Obama had to say in the state of the union u cant blame the guy if he cant get done what he said he would its the damn congress holding shit up

like any president there is gonna be people that are against his way of thinking and i dont think its any different with obama...the thing about his wife being and angry women is because she was giving her opinion to other people that were working in the white house that were on his staff but were not sticking up for him the way she wanted about the health care reform...not because shes black but because she was giving them attitude

i just see him as any other president just corrupt (solyndra millions wasted of tax payer money to people that made contributions to his campaign) and full of empty promises and leading the country the wrong way...having congress blocking him is not an excuss cause obviously they have a different thought process(he had a democrat majority his first 2 years in office and didnt get that much accomplised), and thats what it is there for and just not give the president everything he wants or its a dictatorship then...they need to come to common ground on the issues in order to make progress but he has been almost as stubborn as them with not wanting to compramise...the president is supposed to unite people but he just seems he sometimes try to divide the nation even more than it is
